Emission Measurement

In addition to condition monitoring, the measurement of emissions is becoming increasingly important due to environmental regulations (MARPOL).
Increasingly stringent limits of NOx and SOx, force the operators of ships to invest in a reduced emissions ship operation.
This not only means of heavy oil on e.g. Diesel oil, but also an optimization of the combustion process.

Here the on-board personnel are to be provided with measuring technology, which enables fast recording and documentation of emission values.

The regular measurements are aimed at controlling the combustion in order to achieve an optimal combustion process and to minimize the use of fuel. Furthermore, the measurement and documentation of the emission values should make it possible to prove the extent to which the operation of machinery takes place within the permissible limits. This can lead to a considerable saving in the procurement of spare parts and possibly also harbor fees.
