power meter or any other manufacturer for shaft power meter. The system is a high-accurate and cost-effective measurement system in comparison with other power limitation solution, e.g., engine power limitation (EPL).<br \/>\nThe system is developed according with the latest EEXI Implementation Guidelines, published by the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) in Rec. No. 172 with refers to the MEPC.335 (76). Our system is the reduced solution with alarm on the bridge and afterwards manual power limitation by the nautical personnel. <\/p>\n<p>The system constantly displays the actual shaft power. Any override of power limitation is visually and acoustically indicated on the bridge in form of an alarm, forcing the ship\u2019s master or officer in charge of navigational watch (OICNW) to manually reduce the power to reach the limits again. However, if unlimited power is necessary and confirms with valid reason, the event is logged in a safe format. This logged data can always be viewed subsequently.<\/p>\n<p>When ordering the system, TX Marine Messsysteme GmbH will ask for a questionnaire. This is used to the setup of the Display with ShaPoLi solution and competition of the OMM (Onboard management manual), which is also a part of the scope of supply.
