NMEA Multiplexer

In order to improve ship performance in today’s world, it is becoming increasingly important to utilise all available data from on board. There are a large number of providers on the market. The large selection of performance monitoring systems through to fleet management systems is often difficult for customers to keep track of and select the right solutions for the respective applications.

Various hardware components are important for collecting the files and integrating them into the various software solutions.

Here we work together with the company Veinland to combine the requirements of the customer with the various systems on board.

NMEA multiplexers are an important hardware component. These collect various data from up to 8 transmitters, bundle them and send them to different receivers, such as the performance monitoring system. In addition to the standards, the multiplexers can filter and modify the signals and recalculate data. Headers and checksums can be changed directly on site during installation using the configuration software. Special solutions for calculating the true wind or inverted displays in the wind direction by 180° are possible.

The majority of our NMEA products are approved according to IEC 60945.
