TX Marine at the 9th Rostock Large Engine Symposium (RGMT) 2026
On 13–14 October 2026, TX Marine Messsysteme will exhibit at the 9th Rostock Large Engine Symposium (RGMT). The symposium brings together engine and component developers, researchers, R&D service providers and operators to talk about the future of large engines and maritime propulsion.
This year's programme covers a lot of ground: methanol and ammonia engines, bio-based and drop-in fuels, injection and combustion concepts, and exhaust gas cleaning. It also includes retrofit solutions for decarbonising the existing fleet. For us, that last topic is one of the most relevant.
Why we're coming
New fuels and new combustion concepts will only work reliably at sea if you can see what is happening inside the engine. That is our field. At our stand we will present our systems for:
- Torque and shaft power measurement, to get a clear picture of propulsion efficiency and actual engine load
- Cylinder pressure monitoring, to assess combustion quality, cylinder balance and engine condition
Retrofit for permanent monitoring
We are especially keen to talk about retrofit systems for permanent engine monitoring. Many vessels in service will run for years to come, often on new fuels. Continuous monitoring of cylinder pressure and shaft power on these engines gives operators and engine builders the data they need to optimise performance, detect problems early and plan maintenance based on actual condition.
We want to hear from operators, OEMs, researchers and system suppliers:

- Which challenges do you see in installation, integration and data use on board?
- How can measurement data support the move to alternative fuels?
